Lincoln’s Choice Award winning photographer
Moments in Time Images is the 2018 winner of the Lincoln Journal Star’s Lincoln’s Choice Award for wedding photography.
Moments in Time Images this week was announced as the first-place winner in the Lincoln Journal Star’s Lincoln’s Choice Award in the best wedding photographer category.
As the owner of Moments in Time Images, I want to thank all of my friends, colleagues and clients who voted for us during the voting period earlier this month. It is real honor to win this award and one that I never expected.
I probably don’t have to tell readers of this blog post that wedding photography is a very competitive business. Lincoln, Omaha and the surrounding area has dozens if not hundreds of people shooting wedding photography, and it can be very challenging to stand out from the rest. I have worked very hard to help MIT Images stand out and get noticed, and this award surely will help. I can now actually say that MIT Images is an award-winning wedding photography company, and that feels really good to be able to say that.
The Lincoln Journal Star has been holding this “best of” contest for several years running. It never even occurred to me to try to put ourselves out there as a potential nominee, let alone winner. When I heard that nominations were being accepted, I put the word out to past clients, who responded by voting for MIT Images. Then we made the top three. Once again I put the word out, and thanks to MIT Image’s wonderful past clients and others who have had associations with us, we were named the winner.
Thursday night the Journal Star will throw a recognition event to let the public come and meet the winners. MIT Images will have a booth at this event, and the plan is to offer anyone interested a free headshot at the booth. I encourage you to come down for the event, which is scheduled on March 29 at the Embassy Suites in downtown Lincoln from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
