I offer photography and videography

Lori Black Photography is, obviously, a photography company. It is also a wedding videography company. I’m not sure how many photography companies in this area offer videography as well, but my hunch is not many.

You may wonder why I – Lori Black – offer both services. Here’s why.

This company started as a videography, not photography company. The name of the company varied through the past decade, until recently all using the words “Moments in Time.” It was Moments in Time Video, Moments in Time Productions, and Moments in Time Images.

Several years ago I decided to make the company that was run by myself and my brother more well-rounded. We did this by adding photography services. I had some experience with photography in school, and my brother worked as a portrait photographer for several years.

While my brother’s main interest was in videography, I took it upon myself to become the lead photographer. I practiced a lot, took a lot of free pictures and started watching photography training videos like crazy. My skills have improved greatly over the past few years (I can tell this by looking at older photos I took.)

While photography became the chief component of the business, videography has always remained a part. Even when the name of the company changed from Moments in Time Images to Lori Black Photography, videography was never abandoned.

My brother still does the wedding video along with my help. Sometimes I do the video myself, and I have learned the skill of video editing.

I take pride that Lori Black Photography offers video as well as photography. I have long said that there is great benefit in hiring one company to do both services rather than competing companies. Having one company means the camera operators will work in harmony with each other and not compete for the best shot.
