Welcome to my blog. On this page you will find articles I personally write about the photography industry and my work. You will also see blogs showing the photos from many of my photo sessions.
I was concerned for the wedding of Sierra and Alex. The forecast called for rain, and the wedding was outside at Country Pines.
I showed up on time on this Saturday morning to greet Sierra and get some photos of her getting ready session. It hadn’t rained at that point. I was told the ceremony would be in the new covered site at the Country Pines venue. It was the first time I saw this new ceremony spot, and it was lovely.
The ceremony was about to start and it hadn’t rained yet. All had gathered in the seating area and the wedding party entered. The ceremony started without a hitch. It was sometime during the ceremony that the rain came. Luckily, we were all under the roof and did not get wet. The main problem was the rain was loud, and it made it more difficult to hear the words spoken at the ceremony.
At the end of the ceremony, a family member was at the end of the aisle ready with an unbrella for the newly-married couple. However, something magical happened at that moment. Just as the ceremony was ending, the rain stopped. The bride and groom did not need the umbrella.
And later, as we were planning more photos, we took the family shots under cover as the rain resumed, although lightly. Then, it stopped for good and we were able to get all the shots we needed outside. What a relief. When I go to a wedding, I want to make sure there is nothing that will interfere with my ability to get the shots I wanted. And this day, there were none. Here are a few photos.
