The trends in weddings for 2016 will shift away from the rustic and toward a look of elegance.
Wedding professionals say weddings are shifting from a rustic look to one of traditional elegance. You will still see the mason jars, but you’re also going to see more elegant and sleek decorations. Things like sequined table linens.

Today’s couples want their wedding to be unique, and weddings are as unique as the couple that organize them.
It is thought that couples getting married are a little older now than they used to and they want something different and are willing to spend more money.
The vintage look is one of the most popular trends. Colors are soft and pale. The popular colors for decorations include ivory, nude, tan and champagne with an accent of blush pink
People are turning to vintage china and flower vases rather than mason jars for decoration.

There is even a business in Aurora, Nebraska that caters toward vintage trends. It’s called Vintage Celebrations Rentals and it rents a variety of vintage decorations.
Gina, the owner, says she started her business when her daughter wanted a vintage wedding and wanted mismatched china place settings. She said preparing for that wedding helped her to see her passion to create beautiful vintage celebrations.
I saw this business with a display at a recent bridal fair and I can tell you it was absolutely gorgeous. If you want a vintage wedding, look up Vintage Celebrations Rental in Aurora.
Their prices are very reasonable. You can rent vintage lace tablecloths for $10 each, and a vintage trunk for $10.
Trends in jewelry for weddings this year continue to move toward rose gold. Jewelers say the gold with a pink tint to it complements the popular vintage wedding style. Jewelers are also seeing a move back to yellow gold – which had become less popular in recent years. It seems that whatever popular Hollywood stars are wearing is what becomes popular for others, and many stars are starting to wear the yellow gold.
Professionals say couples are looking for flexibility in their weddings. They want a venue that can accommodate their requests. Many are still booking weddings a long ways out but some venues are seeing shorter lead times, with bookings as little as eight months out.
Many couples are looking for more interactive options at their weddings, such as photo booths, cameras on the tables and costumes and themes. Social networking sites like Pinterest are being used heavily to find ideas.

As for hair and makeup, brides are looking to be a little more natural than they have in the past. They want natural makeup colors and natural looks.
Food has changed as well. Many couples are offering finger food before the reception and later in the evening in addition to the traditional meal. Foods like small sliders, for example, are often requested.
