Welcome to my blog. On this page you will find articles I personally write about the photography industry and my work. You will also see blogs showing the photos from many of my photo sessions.
Video production isn’t what it used to be. It used to be that a videographer would put a camera on a tripod and start shooting. Now there’s much more involved and much more equipment involved, at least for the advanced professionals. Advancements in video production are great.
Of course it all begins with that camera and the tripod. But Moments in Time Images uses much more. Our latest advancement is called the Second Shooter from a company called Kessler, which provides innovative tools for filmmakers. It allows for smooth movement and camera panning electronically. Our Movi M 10 stabilizer allows us to walk around carrying a camera without the worry of camera shake. That means the camera doesn’t have to be relegated just to a tripod. It can move around.
Behind the scenes, video editing software has advanced to far from where it used to be that you can get incredible footage.
What do these new tools mean for clients? Essentially it means better video and much more professional looking video.
Moments in Time Images got its start in the 1980s. You can imagine what video was like then. We used a a large camera that opened with the press of a button. Inside you would place a VHS tape. When the event was done, you would press the button again, remove the VHS and that was it. The job was done. We did no editing. We just handed over the tape. How things have changed over the years.
Now advancements in video production have led to more involved work, but much better products. Editing is precise, and video editing software can make a project look darn near perfect. Our new tools have added to our arsenal so we can provide our clients with professional looks at affordable prices.
Here are a few ways we have used our new tools. A videographer holds the stabilizer as a bride walks down the aisle, capturing every moment in a smooth glided segment. The second shooter allows the videographer to pan a scene side to side or up and down, even from across the room. The result is a very professional-looking film that leaves viewers in awe.
Our new tools of course are a perfect complement to the equipment we have been using for the past few years to achieve great video production. We have cameras that shoot in ultra high definition 4K, cameras that provide completely crisp images, and cameras that grab onto the subject and keep focus on the subject no matter what.
The next time you need a video project completed, consider more than the prices. Look at the equipment and filmmaking tools that will be used in the project. These tools provide advancements in video production that will make all the difference between an average video and a spectacular one.
