All brides want to make sure they look gorgeous in their photos. They may, however, worry about how to best pose for their photos so that they look their best.
I can assure you brides really need not worry about this. Your photographer will guide you in determining the best way to pose. Your photographer, after all, wants to make sure the bride looks great as well.
That being said, here are some tips for brides to make sure strike the most perfect pose.
Putting your hands on your hips is a common thing to do in bridal poses. It’s a common pose for a reason. It looks great in photos. Extend one leg out in front of the other and put the corresponding hand on your hip. Slightly angle your body toward the camera for a slimming effect.
Many people have a side of their face they like better than the other. I know I do. Before your wedding, determine what you consider your best side. You might want to snap a few photos of yourself from each side and see which one looks better to you. Then, on your wedding day, make sure you emphasize the preferred side.
Consider the way you sit for a photo. One of the best sitting poses happens when you cross your legs at the angle. Sit so that your hips are away from the camera, as this promotes a slimming effect.
Try to pose in soft light and natural lighting, which works best for hiding any minor imperfections. Try to avoid harsh lighting and don’t sit under any bright lights during the reception.
Photos of the bride should always be taken at eye level or from above. Try to avoid photos where the camera is pointed up at you.
