Brides always want plenty of portraits on her wedding day, and among those necessary portraits are the bride with the bridesmaids.
These ladies have made some sacrifices to be in your wedding, so you should have plenty of photos with them. Consider gifting them some photos after the wedding – I promise they will love it.
While your photographer will be sure to take group photos with the wedding party, make sure you care out some time just for the bride and the bridesmaids.
Here are seven photos brides should definitely take with the bridesmaids.
Photographers always get the front of the dress, but make sure they also capture the back of the dress and all its beautiful detail. Brides should pose showing the back of her dress as her friends help button, zip or lace up the back.
A first look with the groom and even the father of the bride is common, but consider a first look with the female members of the bridal party. A bride’s first reveal to her bridal party can result in some emotional and memorable photo opportunities.
A wedding day can be stressful, but try your best to have some fun with your bridesmaids. There should be time when you just let loose and get silly. Dance with your bridesmaids, jump on the bed, joke around. These will lighten up the moments, reduce stress and make it fun with you and your bridesmaids. This can result in some very fun photos.
Photos of the bride and her wedding party in matching robes or other attire worn while getting ready are always in demand. Sometimes brides will gift matching robes to her bridesmaids, and these make for great photos. You will want to capture everyone in their cute and thoughtful pre-wedding wear.
Since they don’t last forever, make sure you get photos of the bridal bouquet with the flowers carried by the women. There are different ways to do this. You can line up the flowers or line of the bridesmaids holding their flowers. The bouquets can be held out to the camera to form a circle, or they can be used to hide faces. Let the photographer use some creativity here.
Don’t forget the shoes. You will ll want to get a group shot that showcases everyone’s shoes.
Celebrate – you are getting married! Consider opening a bottle of champagne in the bride’s honor. The photographer will love capturing some toasts between the bride and her bridesmaids.
