Welcome to my blog. On this page you will find articles I personally write about the photography industry and my work. You will also see blogs showing the photos from many of my photo sessions.
Sometimes the traditional wedding day formal portraits just aren’t enough. A day-after wedding session can remedy that.
While the wedding day photos will be beautiful and important, sometimes there isn’t enough time to get the intimate photos that most modern couples really want: the couple gazing into each other’s eyes, holding hands, romantic camera angles, etc.
There are so many formal poses and pictures to take, so many family members who need their shot with you, and never enough time. Unless you want to set aside several hours of your wedding day for photos, you may want to consider a day after session.
If you are having a destination wedding, then having a day-after session wedding session is an especially great idea because you can take full advantage of the beautiful scenery.
You can wear your tux and gown for these sessions to make it obvious that these are wedding pictures, or you can wear something completely different. You can make them more formal, or you can make them fun and different. Throw in your own personality; these pictures showcase you and your love for your spouse!
The nice thing about these photos and there doesn’t have to be somewhere else to be or something else to do in the next 20 minutes. The photographer will really take the time needed to work with you to get the photos you want.
In addition, you can go to multiple locations to get different looks.
The groom still has the tux and the bride has her gown hanging and ready to put on again. So it’s just a matter of getting ready. The bride and groom do not have to have the exact look they pulled off at the wedding. Maybe the bride’s hair will be down instead of up. It really doesn’t matter. The point is to get some great-looking shots that you weren’t able to get on the wedding day.
