Welcome to my blog. On this page you will find articles I personally write about the photography industry and my work. You will also see blogs showing the photos from many of my photo sessions.
I discovered the DelRay Ballroom in Lincoln years ago when I was involved in running a speed dating business. I’ve always been impressed with this facility. It has beautiful hardwood floors and attractive brick walls.
One prime mission of the DelRay is to provide dance lessons. However it also makes itself available for wedding receptions.
The ballroom is large and can accommodate 350 seated guests and 600 standing guests. The ballroom can be divided or used in its entirety. It’s in Lincoln’s Haymarket district so parking is best obtained at one of the area parking garages. But it’s a classy facility and you can’t go wrong having weddings at the DelRay Ballroom.
Pricing is based on the day of the week and the number of guests at the reception. Here is some pricing information according to www.thedelray.com/wedding-packages.

Each reception includes the following according to the website:
Table and chairs, tables for the guest book, gifts and cake, a stage, table linens, setup and tear down and centerpieces. Also included is a complimentary champagne toast for the head table and a gift certificate for dance lessons.
The DelRay provides bar and catering prices upon request. The Delray works with selected caterers but you get your choice of which one you would like to use.
A disc jockey service is available which costs $495 for five hours and $75 for each additional hour.
The DelRay says it is styled after dance clubs and lounges from the 1940s. It hosts events or dance lessons every night.
If you want dance lessons, the DelRay has plenty of instructors who can teach the basics to beginners or provide more advanced coaching. Private lessons and group classes are available.
