Welcome to my blog. On this page you will find articles I personally write about the photography industry and my work. You will also see blogs showing the photos from many of my photo sessions.
After the shooting is over, editing the photos is the next step. The client sits back and waits for the photographer to work his or her magic to make the photos sparkle.
It is important for the clients to trust their photographer with the editing of the photos. This should not be hard to do as long as the clients have checked out the photographer’s portfolio and understands his or her editing style.
Photographers have different styles of editing. You will notice this as you look through the websites of the photographers out there.
Your job is to determine the style of photos you want. Some photographers shoot the “light and airy” style, where all the photos pretty much are very light. Some do more dark and moody, where the photos are darker. Some shoot in between, which is my practice. It’s a style I call “properly exposed.” Some shoot photos more warm look while others are more cool.
But you are the one who needs to decide what you like. Then once you find the style you like, look for photographers who shoot that style. Then you can be completely comfortable with the edited photos you receive.
Once I send my edited photos to the client, I will ask that if they want any changes to let me know. I am willing to make desired changes to a photo. I can tell you, though, this practically never happens.
I know my clients choose me as their photographer because they like my photos and my style of editing. They can trust me to get the style of photos they will like.
Clients won’t need to be worried about how their photos will look as long as they determined beforehand what they like and hire someone who shoots the way they like.
