Ministry meeting brings wedding

Participating in ministry activities brought Ryan and Daryl spiritual growth as well as forever love.

They met through the 30s ministry group at a church, where Ryan was the leader, and started dating in November 2016. Their relationship developed through their mutual love of Jesus and their fondness for movies and comedy. They spent countless hours going to concerts, traveling and trying new things.

They call the Funny Bone comedy club in Omaha their second home since they are there so often. It is there where Ryan proposed.

Daryl says what she loves most about Ryan are many. She says he is a very honest and loyal person. She loves his walk with Jesus and his ministry, his humor and the way that he loves her. She also finds him very handsome.

They love watching movies and going on date nights to the movies. Daryl loves how he has introduced her to so many different styles of music and types of food.

She says it is very important that they both love Jesus and grow together in their faith. It’s been an amazing adventure, she says.

The wedding day

The wedding was at Shepard of the Hills Lutheran Church in Hickman and the reception was at Suite One Eleven in Lincoln. Everything was elegant from start to finish. I was privileged to be able to photograph their wedding.

Ryan says Daryl is his number one fan.

He says she believes in him and thinks he is capable of doing things when he is not confident that he can.

“She trusts me, listens to my ideas and I enjoy the fact that we have good commutation. That is the key to any successful marriage. Communication.”

Ryan says God put Daryl in his life at the right time and now he is excited to continue to move forward
