Preparing for your photo session, if you do it right, should take some time.
By time, I don’t mean an hour before the session. It’s more than just dressing, styling your hair and doing your makeup.
For an important photo session, such as a senior high session or a wedding, you should start preparing months in advance.
OK what do I mean by that? Start early to start habits that will make you look and feel as best as you can. I don’t mean to sound like your mom, but here are a few suggestions that will truly make you look better months down the road:
- Stop drinking soda pop and instead substitute water. If you research it, you will see it has been proven that drinking lots of water will improve the appearance of your skin. It prevents dryness, keeps skin soft, and reduces blemishes and wrinkles.
- Water does more than just make your skin look better. If you stop drinking the sugary drinks and instead drink water, you’ll likely drop a few pounds. If that’s something you need to do, that will help you look better in photos.
- Pay attention to your hair. If you are thinking about a particular style, cut it in that style months before to make sure you are going to like it. If you don’t, this will give you time for your hair to grow back out. And watch what products you use on your hair. Don’t use the cheap grocery store products. I highly suggest a newer professional product called Monat. These are naturally-based products that I use myself and they guarantee they will make your hair healthier or your money back. If you want more information on Monat let me know and I can steer you in the right direction. I can tell you I have noticed a difference in my hair.
Preparing for your photo session well in advance will provide you with many benefits. Keep it in mind when you schedule your session.
