Happy Valentine’s Day, and it likely will be an extra happy one for couples who get engaged on this day.
I’ve long thought that Valentine’s Day was a day couples get engaged, so to confirm this I did a little research. What I found was that Valentine’s Day proposals are pretty common, but this day is not the most popular day to get engaged.
A website called chillisauce.co did a survey of 10,000 and found that Christmas Eve was by far the most common day for couples to get engaged. Thirty-one percent of the couples got engaged on that day. It was followed by New Year’s Eve, 19 percent, New Year’s Day, 16 percent, and Valentine’s Day, 12 percent.
Days with smaller percentages included Christmas Day, the anniversary of meeting and a birthday.
So, even though it’s not the most popular day to get engaged, Moments in Time Images wants to congratulate couples who get engaged on this day.
Remember one of the first tasks after choosing the venue and the date is finding a photographer, and Moments in Time Images is ready to accommodate you should you choose us as your photographer and videographer.
One interesting graph I also saw on chillisauce was when couples thought the best time to get engaged was. For men, just 12 percent thought Valentine’s Day was the best time to get engaged. Yet 23 percent of women thought this. That’s a pretty strong indication of how men and women see Valentine’s Day differently.
Thirty-three percent of men surveyed said Christmas Eve was the best time to pop the question while 22 percent of women thought the same thing.
So guys, when it comes to getting engaged, remember Valentine’s Day is a great time. Even if you don’t think so, your girlfriend thinks otherwise.
