Welcome to my blog. On this page you will find articles I personally write about the photography industry and my work. You will also see blogs showing the photos from many of my photo sessions.
Wedding photography is an art. The work itself is an art, as is the process of taking the photos. This is an introduction to a series of blog posts that dive into the various types of wedding photography that a photographer is responsible to make sure comes off without a hitch.
Here are the categories of wedding photography that I see is my responsibility on the day of the wedding.
It is important to understand that not all of these photographic categories apply to all weddings. Some weddings begin with ceremony coverage. Often brides and grooms don’t have a first look. Many times brides don’t want photos of their pre-wedding prep. Occasionally weddings are just the ceremony only.
When you hire a wedding photographer, remember that there are different parts of the day that need to be photographed differently. You might consider asking your photographer how he or she approaches the various aspects of a wedding.
Wedding photography is not an easy job. It takes an entire day and then several hours after the big day. Each category of photography is different and different techniques need to be followed to make sure all turn out beautiful.
Wedding photography is the most enjoyable part of my job. As the new year starts, I look forward to the weddings I have already scheduled as well as the weddings to come. You can know with me that my goal is to make sure all the various parts of your wedding are photographed correctly and beautifully.
In most cases, your photographer will be with you most of the day – the biggest day of your life. Your selection of a photographer will be one of your most important decisions.
