Welcome to my blog. On this page you will find articles I personally write about the photography industry and my work. You will also see blogs showing the photos from many of my photo sessions.
As of this week, Lori Black Photography is putting a renewed emphasis on wedding video.
To be honest, videography often seems like it’s an afterthought for many couples. They carefully select their photographer early in the planning process, but so many of them disregard wedding film. I often wonder why that is. I can understand if a tight budget is an issue, but even couples who don’t have a tight budget often seem to put videography on the back burner.
My main focus is on wedding photography, but wedding video is important to me as well. So this week I put a new link on my portfolio page for wedding films, and increased the number of samples on my video page. Visitors to my website now have the opportunity to see a good sampling of all types of wedding video work. You will find full ceremonies and ceremony highlights. You will see full reception videos. You will see lots of highlight trailers, and you will see a love story video.
One side note I want to make: most of the videos on this page are in the form of a YouTube video. When you open a YouTube video, it usually doesn’t play in high definition. It plays in standard definition. While all weddings are shot in high definition, 4K or a combination of both, if they play in standard definition on YouTube they may not look HD. I encourage anyone looking at these videos to click on the little gear icon under each video and select HD resolution when possible. You should see a big difference.
Lori Black Photography offers a discount on video for anyone scheduling a photography package. Ask me for details. And when you start your wedding planning process, put a strong emphasis on wedding video. I firmly believe you will be happy you did.
