Tell your story through video

More and more couples getting married decide they want what is known as love story videos. Here at Moments in Time Images, we call it a “how we met video” because that is what it is about — how we met.

Here’s how it works. We meet the couple at a park or a setting of their choice. We shoot film of them walking, cuddling, basically interacting. Then we interview them. We generally start with the bride. We get her alone and ask a series of questions. We ask her to tell the story of how the two of them met, what impressed them about the other person, about their first date, and other types of questions. Then it’s the groom’s turn. After both interviews are done, we bring the couple together and they talk to each other about how they met, their relationship and their wedding. They have the opportunity to thank family and friends.

Then the film is edited and delivered to the couple in time for their wedding. Typically it is shown at the wedding reception, though some couples opt instead to show it at the rehearsal dinner.

Why do they do this? The love story video is a great way to help their wedding guests get to know them and their story better. It is designed to be entertaining, even a bit funny. We welcome laughs from the crowd as they watch it. Not only is it a great way to entertain guests at your reception, it is a keepsake for the couple to watch over and over.

There are really no limits as to how this film can be made or where it can be shot. We usually select one location but if a couple wants multiple locations that’s up to them. We think it’s great to use these videos to show people who you really are as well as what your interests and likes are.

A trailer — A trailer is a fast-moving synopsis of the entire wedding day. We take clips from different segments of the wedding and weave them into a fun video that’s only a few minutes long and set to music.

Slide show videos — These

can be done two ways. Gather photos of you growing up, starting with you as a baby. We’ll put these photos on a moving slide show set to the song of your choice. Another slide show video uses photo stills taken from your wedding and put into a slide show. Moments in Time Images offers both.
