Welcome to my blog. On this page you will find articles I personally write about the photography industry and my work. You will also see blogs showing the photos from many of my photo sessions.
Classic dresses with lots of lace, big cascading bouquets and men’s suits are among the bridal fashion trends this year. Look for the latest fashions at The Wedding Fair, scheduled Sunday at the Cornhusker Hotel. The fair will include a bridal fashion show, which will depict the latest styles. Moments in Time will be at the Wedding Fair.
While at the Wedding Fair, look for these styles. Brides are choosing for low backs with different strap options. While strapless gowns are still popular, some brides are choosing gowns with a variety of different straps or sleeves. We’re glad to hear that after seeing so many strapless dresses.
One of the biggest styles this year will be what’s called the fit and flair silhouette style. This is a gown that is fitted to the bride’s body until the hipline, then it flairs out. It sounds gorgeous and I’m sure it is, particularly if you have the body to pull it off.
One of the biggest needs in wedding gown fashion this season will be lots of lace. You’ll see it everywhere. Lace will be part of a classic gown that will never go out of style.
Backless is hot as well. Some brides want this look where their entire back remains uncovered.
Ivory is the predominant color. This year’s ivory is not the ivory of the past. It is much less yellow and more flattering on skin tones.
One men’s clothing store says one trend being seen for the guys is suits rather than tuxes. It seems that many men feel that a nice suit that can be worn many times is a better investment than a tux rental.
What do you think? While it might make the whole affair a little less formal, it makes a lot of sense. Nice suits look great, and there’s no reason to think they won’t look great at a wedding as well.
