Welcome to my blog. On this page you will find articles I personally write about the photography industry and my work. You will also see blogs showing the photos from many of my photo sessions.
We all have probably seen videos that are shaky. It could be a wedding video where the camera operator was walking around with the camera on his or her shoulder. These videos are hard to watch. Video shake is due to the camera being hand held. No matter what anyone says, no one can handhold a movie camera and keep the image perfectly still. That’s where tools come in.
The primary tool used in videography is a tripod. This allows videographers to mount a camera on a stable device which will keep it perfectly still while it’s capturing moving images. We have plenty of tripods in our arsenal, but the latest tool is what we call our stabilizer. More technically, it is the Freefly MoVI 10. If you are so inclined, you can learn more about it here.
What does this mean for you — our videography customer? It means that we can provide you with smooth as butter video while the camera itself is moving. Tripods will provide smooth video, but they cannot be moved while the camera is in operation, unless you want the shaky video of course. With the Movi, the camera is attached to a handheld device which when operated will produce perfectly smooth video while the camera is carried.
This will work great for our wedding shoots, as many instances lend themselves well to a moving camera. You, our customer, will certainly notice the difference of the MoVI versus any handheld movement, which we don’t do anyway since we are very opposed to video shake.
Our commercial customers will love the MoVI as well, as we can provide them with unique video that looks absolutely gorgeous.
If you are looking for a video shoot, be sure and as about the Freefly MoVI 10. We feel confident that it is something you will want for your next video to eliminate video shake.
