Wedding Referrals Network

I recently joined a network referral group that brings together professionals to help each other our businesses. I represent the photographer in the group. There are a few in the group who works to get wedding business, so we decided to form a sub group that focuses specifically on weddings.

In this referral group we have a wedding cake professional, a salon owner who specializes in bridal parties, a jeweler and a printing professional. I have invited a disc jockey who plans to join as well. We are looking for other professionals, primarily venues, bridal shops and any other wedding type businesses.

What does this mean for couples who are getting married? It means that couples don’t have to take it upon themselves to find vendors. They can rely on the vendors they choose to help find vendors for them. For example, a couple days ago I booked a wedding photography job for early next year. I asked the couple if they were still looking for other vendors. They needed someone to do their cake and a disc jockey. I had people I could refer them to. They can hopefully rely on the word of someone they trust to choose professionals they will feel comfortable hiring. I was able to help out my wedding cake professional and disc jockey friends by bringing them referrals while being bring a value-added service to my new clients.
